New Technologies and Specific Learning Disabilities: Friend or Foe?

In the world of iPods, iPhones and iPads, there is a seemingly endless range of apps and functions available to learn new skills and make tasks quicker, easier and more enjoyable. Can such technological advancement benefit students with learning disabilities? This session focuses on the functionality of mobile devices from an evidence-based viewpoint and discusses the pros and cons of putting them into the hands of students with LD. Kelly will highlight the best (and worst) of the available features and explain how new technology can be used to assist in the remediation and accommodation of students with LD.
