Integrating Assistive Technology in the 21st Century Classroom Curriculum
Concord School is a Victorian P-12 specialist school for students with additional learning needs. It provides a safe and supportive learning environment where students are expected to achieve, and their successes are acknowledged and celebrated. This is achieved through a curriculum that integrates learning technologies with best practice in learning and teaching. In this hands-on session, Steven will introduce participants to a range of classroom technologies employed by Concord School to promote success, increase engagement and improve learning. Participants will be given the opportunity to road test various speaking and listening tools, language support software, classroom management technologies, interactive dance activities and simple robotics. Participants will leave this session with simple ideas and practical strategies that can be used to enhance learning for all students.
